Description
Body about 3 times longer than wide. Antennula (a1) with the first article extending forwards, the second article in a right angle to the first. Antennula four-segmented. Female antennal flagellum 17-18 segmented. Antennal peduncle (a2) with four distinct articles. The antenna reach the posterior corner of the pereion. Maxillipede without coupling hooks on the inner border. Coxal plates posteriorly not with sharp angles.
Pleon somite 5 not markedly reduced, with the lateral borders contributing to the body outline. Pleopod 1 with both rami thinly chitinised and fringed with setae, Length of posterior margin of pleotelson little less than 1/4 of the anterior margin; posterior margin with about nine teeth. Pleotelson with broad transverse depression.
Uropods very short; the endopod not reaching the posterior border of the pleotelson.
The peduncle of the uropod is not markedly reduced backwards alongside the inner border of the endopod; the articulation between the peduncle and the endopod is short.

Brown or grey, with black spots.

Distribution in the North Sea
Possibly northern North Sea.
