Description
Shell ovoid, posteriorly evenly rounded. Lateral eyes present. Endopodite of the second antenna is elongated and three-jointed, similar in both sexes. The seventh limb has about 40 bristles and 15 teeth or spines, the second and fourth furcal claw are united with lamellae (Poulsen, 1969).
Size
Female 3.3-3.65 mm, male 3.1-3.3 mm carapace length.
Depth range
Appears to be benthic in habit. The only depth information suggests that it lives at 100-200 m.
Distribution in the North Sea
Northern North Sea, Skagerrak.
World distribution
Widespread along the west coast of Norway from the Lofoten Islands, and extending into the Skagerrak.
