Diagnosis
Antenna (a2) reduced, without a distinction between peduncle and flagellum; all pereiopods prehensile, with hooked dactylus (d); dactylus longer than the propodus (p) [p-Cymothoidae ]. Ectoparasitic on fishes; possibly caught with plankton nets.
