Genus Doliolina

Borgert, 1894

— Oozooids with upright U- or S-shaped intestinal tube. In this stage, species of Doliolina cannot be separated. However, only one species is known from the area, with a U-shaped intestinal tube: Doliolina muelleri.
— Nurse with wide muscles, though still separated leading to narrow interspaces; M4 wider than M3; statocyst most often missing; a single pair of anterior nerves present. Frail appearance, less than 10 mm length. Nurses of Doliolina cannot be separated to species, though worldwide regional differences in muscle width is evident. In our area, however, only one species of this genus is known: Doliolina muelleri.

— Trophozooids with about 10 gill slits (that is less than in Dolioletta and Doliolum); the anal aperture is below the oesophageal funnel. Trophozooids of Doliolina cannot be separated to species.
The genus contains 11 species of which only one occurs in the area: Doliolina muelleri.
