Pectinaria koreni

Description
Larva living in a tube from about 14-segmented stage onwards; the secretion tube is build up of longitudinal rhomboid scales, length about 1 mm. Head with three antenna and two pairs of tentaculous cirri.

Size
Length of larval tube ca. 1 mm.

Depth range
Adult found from eulittoral to about 500 m depth; larva pelagically.

Distribution in the North Sea
All North Sea, Skagerrak, Kattegat; also Waddenzee, W Baltic and other brackish waters as fjords and estuaries.

World distribution
Eastern Atlantic, from Barentsz Sea to Namibia including in the Mediterranean Basin.
