Limacina retroversa

Description
A small, shelled, pelagic thecosomatous pteropod with a left-coiled shell. The spire is moderately highly coiled. There is no umbilical keel. Transverse striae are present [Limacina spp.].
According to Van der Spoel et al., 1997 there are two formae distinguished for Limacina retroversa subspecies retroversa, both (possibly) occurring in our area:

Limacina retroversa f. balea
Limacina retroversa f. retroversa
